InPage Ad specifications are designed to assist you with your creative process and to ensure that only the highest quality ads are delivered to our Publisher network.
Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of our policies. Your customer service representative will provide you will a comprehensive list of policies on request.

POLICY GUIDELINES
- All advertisements are reviewed by InPageAds!
- Ads may only be added to a campaign once approved.
- Ad changes or alterations are submitted for re-review.
- Cookies may not be set on the InPageAd network except by approved third party ad serving vendors.
- InPageAds reserves the right not to approve any ad and/or to remove any advertisement which is deemed annoying and/or harmful at it's sole discression at any time.
- The Ad sponsor must be clearly identified on the ad.
- Ads promoting scbscription servises must clearly state the subscription rate on the ad.
- Advertisements may not mislead the user.
- Ads may not mimic or resemble dialogue boxes or error messages: Windows/Mac/Linux.
- Ads must have a distinct border or a highly contrasting background to clearly identify where the ad ends, and the page begins.
- Advertisements may not resemble general page content.
- Advertisements may not contain fake functionality graphics to simulate interactivity
(i.e., drop down menus, search boxes, etc..
- Advertisements cannot mimic news headlines in design, tone, 3rd person sentence structure, or topic.

FLASH GUIDELINES
- InPage allows Flash versions 6,7,8,9,& 10 (AS2 & AS3)
- 40KB download and up to 4 additional download streams upon user click are permitted. Each additional stream may not exceed 100KB.
- Frame rate may not exceed 24 frames per second. Banners that exceed 24 frames per second will not be accepted. 12 frames per second is recommended.
- Loading files from cross domains is not permitted for security reasons.
- All flash files must open in a new window.

HTML GUIDELINES
- HTML code cannot exceed 3k.
- 2 images maximum, total file size of images cannot exceed 20k.
- Client-side imagemaps are acceptable and must be provided by the client.
- Forms tags in HTML code must use "get" in the method.
- CGIs referenced in the HTML code must be active at the time of ad submission for validating/testing the ad HTML code, and able to handle the traffic load. Ads with CGIs which are not active and/or cannot handle the projected traffic will not be accepted.

LINKING URL
- Linking URLs must be domain name based and cannot be the IP address (i.e., http://196.78.321.32 )

THIRD PARTY GUIDELINES
- All third party tags need to be from an approved third party vendor and must be in an iframe format.
- Only approved rich media vendors are allowed javascript tags.
- All creative served through third party tags must adhere to the InPageAds ad specs.

ANIMATION
- Looping/Flashing can continue upon load for a period of 15 seconds maximum

POLICY GUIDELINES: COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
InPageAds allows advertisements to collect personal identifying information; however you may be asked to make changes to the ad units or include additional disclosure in order to be acceptable for advertising on InPageAds.
If you wish to collect personal information within advertisements, those ad units will need to:
- Clearly identify your organization.
- Provide a direct link to your privacy policy, adjacent to the submit button.
- Clearly identify the purpose for collecting the information.
Additional disclosure may be required, depending on the type of advertisement. Please see your advertising representative for more information on required notices. InPageAds will also label all such ad units with "ADVERTISEMENT".
Note: As stated above, cookies may not be set on the InPageAds network except by parties with a third party ad serving agreement.

CREATIVE SUBMISSION
The following is a list of the guidelines that are most commonly missed upon creative submission:
- Creative must match ad size.
- Creative promoting scbscription servises must clearly state the subscription rate on the ad.
- Creative must have a distinct border to clearly identify where the page ends, and advertisement begins.
- Animation cannot exceed 15 seconds. Animation can begin again on mouse over, but must stop immediately on mouse off.
- Creative can not exceed the specified weight limits.
- Creative must have branding.
- No fake HTML or simulated interactivity (A maximum of 5 linking URLs can be used in each HTML creative).
- No obscene or otherwise objectionable images.
- No 'FREE' offers in the ad unit with out pre-approval from InPageAds.
- Creative cannot use the 'InPageAds' name or logo without pre-approval from InPageAds.
- Creative containing a sweepstakes or contest must be pre-approved by InPageAds.
- Flash creative, must use clickTag for click through URL.
- Cookies may not be set on the InPageAd network except by approved third party ad serving vendors.
InPageAds reserves the right at its sole discression to accept, retract, or reject any advertisement at any time.
- Ads must conform to specifications outlined herein. Elements not meeting specifications will be returned for revision, which may delay the launch date.
- Standard Creatives may be submitted electronically through the InTouch interface and must be submitted at least 3 days prior to campaign scheduling. Approved creatives may be scheduled into a campaign with immediate effect.
- Standard creative must be submitted to your designated Media Delivery Coordinator 4 business days prior to campaign launch or campaign launch may be delayed. Rich media ads must be submitted 5 business days prior to launch to enable thorough testing Contact your Sales Representative for additional details.
- Creative submissions should include the following:
- Advertiser name
- InPageAds Insertion Order number
- Detailed trafficking instructions
- Creative files
- Alternate text (if applicable)
- Linking URL
- 3rd party tags (if applicable)
- 3rd party tags must be live at the time of submission to enable thorough testing before launch
- For Flash ads, an alternate image conforming to the designated gif/jpg specifications must be provided for use in the event that the user's browser does not support Flash 6.0 and above
